Hunter Rand began his journey in multimedia in 2009 when he enrolled in the Digital Media & Journalism program at the Academy of Arts, Careers, & Technology. He went on to earn a certificate with credit from a local junior college before transferring to the University of Nevada, where he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and conducted research in film and multimedia. During his time at the university, he worked as a videographer and was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Order.
By 2016, he began working with the Nevada Women’s Basketball program, eventually becoming Director of Social Media, where he led moving media and documentary production efforts until his departure in 2019.
That same year, Rand transitioned into education as a Career & Technical Education (CTE) video production instructor at Spanish Springs High School. He revitalized their 3,000-square-foot television studio and continued the school’s tradition of media production excellence. In 2021, he left teaching to establish Eddy Westin and Company, focusing on film, television, advertising, and broadcast engineering projects across the western United States.
Additionally, Rand serves as the Director of Marketing at TrustMasters, an estate planning firm based in Reno, Nevada. There he leads an internal agency producing content for all mediums.
